Today was a big day. This morning we had a visit from a nurse from St. Luke's. She came to see how Simon was doing - he gained 2 ounces, and she came to check my incision. So far, everything is going good.
After a good feeding, Paul packed up his Diaper Dude and we ventured off to Target and Toys R Us for some baby supplies. On the way back we stopped by the church I work at and they sent us home with the rose they had on the communion table in honor of Simon last Sunday. Simon did really well and slept through all of it. Not bad for a first trip. Here's a pic of his first truck ride after getting home. He looks so small in that thing!
When we got home, we had a package at the front door. Grandma and Grandpa Vieira sent Simon the snap and go stroller to go with his car seat. Here is Paul modeling the set.
Finally, after all the excitement died down, Simon grabbed a quick snack and took a nap. Paul really wanted some pictures, but Simon had other ideas. We call this one his paparazzi photo. "No Photos, Please!!!"
It is now 10:00 p.m. and we are going to grab a quick bite to eat and then go to bed. Our awesome neighbors brought over a fresh loaf of bread they made this afternoon. Yum!!
