This week, Simon officially got his own Mii and got registered in Wii Fit so we can track his weight progression more frequently. The Wii wouldn't let us put in a birthdate any later than the year 2007, so in Nintendo's eyes Simon is 2 years and 4 months old. After doing his basic balance test, the Wii calculated Simon's Wii Fit age to be 27 years old. Here's why.
At 2' 2", he has a Body Mass Index of 15.61 and his fitness goal is to gain 1.5 lbs in 2 months. Crazy? Probably. But it was fun to see if the Wii would yell at us and say something like, "Hey! That's a baby!!!". But he weighed in a 15 lbs on the dot today. Still 4 pounds lighter than Akbar Risuddin. Now that's a baby-eating baby!!
But in the Wii Fit plaza, they show all of your registered Miis and it was dead on because Deborah and I were sleeping and Simon was wide awake. I only wish that was the case this weekend. He came down with a cold Friday and has been pretty snuffly and waking up suddenly because he can't breath very well. He slept pretty good last night, but it was hard to sleep thinking that his breathing passage may be blocked. But we got the big suckie things you stick up his nose to get the snot out. Between suckings, I went to reload the suckie thing and didn't point it to the side, so when I depressed the bulb, it spewed SImon's mucus back on him. Oops. Anyway, it helps to clear him up, along with the humidifier in his room, so hopefully he'll be easy breathin' in no time.
Despite the sickness, he's been a pretty happy baby. The boys went out to Wally World and let mommy get some sleep this afternoon. We came back with Reese's PB cups, soup ingredients and a 1 TB external hard drive for her Mac. Hopefully that will be enough room. 80 GB seemed like a lot back in the day, but so did 256 MB 15 years ago.
Simon is pondering the following question posed by Linda Richman, "Ralph Fiennes is spelled neither rafe nor fines. Discuss."
