Jump Around!

This week Simon is 12 weeks old. I can't believe that next week he will be 3 months. He has changed and grown so much in the last week or so. He is so alert and very observant. In the past few days he has discovered his tongue. If you stick your tongue out at him, he will smile and try to do the same. It is too cute!

He seems to be doing well at daycare. Yesterday he slept most of the day despite a tornado drill and a fire drill. There was another fire drill today, but this one was an accident. A toddler in the transition room pulled the fire alarm. Oops.

Simon is making friends with all the staff - when we leave in the afternoon, everyone has to say goodbye to him. He is also enjoying playing with all the toys. Julie, his caregiver, said that he had an entire conversation with Elmo on the Sesame Street mobile.

For his baptism, Simon got a lot of books. We have been trying to read at least one of them a night. Right now our favorite is "A Night Night Prayer" by Amy Parker. I think Aunt Julie got that one for him.

We are also in to "B is for Bear," by Roger Priddy. It has a lot of vibrant pictures and cool textures.

Today, Paul got Simon a Jumperoo. We know he is still too small for it, but since Simon likes to move so much, we think he will enjoy this when he gets a bit bigger. Here is a video of him trying it out.

Here are a few more cute pics from the week. I'm sure we'll have a bunch more from the upcoming weekend - we are sure looking forward to having 3 days off. Also, Ben, Kim, Audrey and Wesley are coming to visit.

Bumbo time!
