9-Month Check Up

Yesterday was Simon's 9-month check up. His new skills include pulling up to kneel - almost standing, feeding himself puffs and chunks of bananas, and waving. At 28 inches long and 18lbs, 14oz, he is growing like a weed. He is in the 46th percentile for height and 24th percentile for weight. With all the crawling and climbing he is doing, he is eating like crazy and burning all kinds of calories. Observe...

Last weekend we were in Bed Bath and Beyond to buy a Shark Steam Mop (love it) and came home with the mop and a pop-up tent with tunnel for Simon. He really loves the tunnel. Last night he spent a good half hour crawling back and forth.

Simon has also taken to carry things around in his mouth while he crawls around. He really likes his socks. They have become new chew toys (gross).

Since there is snow on the ground today we are probably going to spend the weekend inside playing and napping. Since starting my new job, the weekends have become very important to us. We try to squeeze in as much playtime and snuggling as possible.
